Ross Chod, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist at Retina Specialists of Colorado in Aurora, Colorado. Dr. Chod specializes in treating injuries and diseases to the retina or the vitreous, the gel-like substance that makes up most of the eye.

After growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Chod received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine. Once he had honed in on his specialty, Dr. Chod completed his ophthalmology residency at St. Louis University, where he earned a place at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City, further mastering vitreoretinal surgery.

Throughout his education and career, Dr. Chod has been published in numerous esteemed ophthalmic journals and has presented papers on his work at national ophthalmology meetings.

When he is out of the office, Dr. Chod enjoys staying active with skiing, golf, and hockey, among other sports. He and his wife will have no trouble staying active soon, as they await the birth of their first child at the end of 2018.
